SETTING UP KLAVIYO WRONG IS EXPENSIVE

Most expensive mistake: sending to an unwarmed list with a new sending domain. Blasting your full list before warm-up lands you in spam — and rebuilding sender reputation takes 3–6 months of lost email revenue.

Second most expensive: no suppression logic. Sending to unengaged subscribers kills open rates, hurts deliverability, and inflates your Klaviyo bill with profiles that will never buy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

How long does warm-up take?

New sending domain: 4–8 weeks. Start with engaged subscribers only (opened in last 30 days). Gradually expand to 60, 90, and 180-day engaged segments.

Do I need a custom sending domain?

Yes, always. Sending from a shared domain hurts deliverability. Set up a custom subdomain (email.yourbrand.com) — takes 30 minutes and is non-negotiable.

What's the difference between a flow and a campaign?

Flows are automated sequences triggered by behaviour. Campaigns are one-time sends. Flow revenue typically exceeds campaign revenue once properly configured.
